CNA ONLINE/HYBRID  COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

LENGTH OF COURSE

  • THEORY (60 Hours):
    Delivered synchronously online via Canvas and Zoom platforms, the theory component covers core concepts in patient care, infection control, communication, safety, vital signs, nutrition, elder abuse reporting, patient rights, and other foundational topics. Students are expected to attend live virtual sessions, complete assignments, and participate in discussions as scheduled.

  • Clinical & Lab Training (112 Hours):
    The clinical portion of the course includes supervised hands-on training at a skilled nursing facility, along with lab practice in a classroom setting. Students will gain practical experience performing personal care, assisting with mobility, monitoring vital signs, and supporting patients’ physical and emotional needs in a real-world healthcare environment.
    Clinical and lab training will be conducted at approved sites located in the following cities: Fresno, Tulare, Kingsburg, Selma, Sanger, Visalia, and Clovis, California.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

​

To successfully participate in the online theory portion of the CNA/HHA Training Program, students must have access to the following:

 

  1. Video Conferencing Capability

    • A device with a functioning camera and microphone (e.g., laptop with webcam, smartphone, or tablet such as an iPad)

    • Required for attending live Zoom lectures and participating in interactive sessions

  2. Email Address

    • A personal email address is required for registration and program communications

    • Note: Upon registration, students will receive a custom course email account that will provide access to Canvas and course materials. This will be sent to your personal email.

  3. Internet Access

    • Reliable internet connection is required to:

      • Attend live online lectures via Zoom

      • Access Canvas (learning management system)

      • Upload assignments and coursework

      • Receive instructor feedback and course updates

  4. Microsoft Office Suite

    • Access to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required for assignments, presentations, and documentation

 

TRAINING PROGRAM FEES

TUITION FEES: $1100 

 

GRADE REQUIREMENTS 

Student's must complete all assigned coursework with a minimum success rate of 75% in Theory and 100% in skills
